Small, petty pleasures
My PC’s firewall is configured to not allow Internet Explorer access to the Internet by default. On the rare occasions I launch it, it has to ask me special permission every time.
Beg for it.
This gives me great satisfaction.

I'm probably missing a key point, but what good is a browser that can't access the Internet?

I think the key point being:
Making Micro$oft your own personal B!tch when you can is one of those small, guilty pleasures that make us grin all evil-like in the cold glow of our monitors.
I assume Mozilla/Opera/Random-Browser would be allowed thru said firewall without so much as a dirty look.
:) i like it.

Hm. So if I set the parking brake on my car, making it necessary for me to release it in order for it to go anywhere, I'll feel a sense of power over the Honda Motor Corp.
Eh. Doesn't work for me.
