Wish fulfillment

Today I wrote the part of my screenplay in which the writer learns he’s gotten a huge book contract and quits his day job to write full time.

Hey, what are movies for?

Comments

movies are for special effects! where's the part where the writer outruns the exploding gasball? where's the part where the writer jumps on the back of a troll while his comrades try to kill it?

i hope your screenplay also includes "o fortuna" from the carmina burana, someone eyeballing an approaching bullet/knife/arrow, and mid-air collisions every fifteen minutes! otherwise, keep yer day job, babe. love ya. let's do lunch.
