Missing links

Fish got feet. An important missing link is found just as evolutionary theory is under siege. It’s almost like someone out there is looking out for it, eh?

Oh, that news is so April 6th!

;-)

(But, seriously, you presumably missed that it was on the front page of the NY Times, Washington Post, a major story on all of the network evening news broadcasts, etc., etc., to quote from the Graun. It wasn't exactly obscure.)

=v= I saw one of these just the other day. Someone had backed their car into the poor thing:

I knew the news had been widely disseminated -- I'd seen it on multiple blogs, and did a Google News search last night to pick a version of the story to link to (and had no shortage of candidates.) Like all my 5 AM posts, it was scheduled last night for publication this morning.

The latter link had been in my queue for a little while, and hasn't been so widespread.

I like posting about things that aren't the same thing everyone else is talking about, but I don't necessarily mind talking about the same things.
