A bookstore grows in Berkeley

A little while ago, I lamented the ongoing deaths of Berkeley's bookstores. So I'd like to take the chance to actually celebrate some good news. Black Oak Books is back in a new location (and an easy walk from my house.)

I was there today. The staff is still unloading boxes, and look to have a lot of work cut out for them. But it's shaping up to be a nice place.

Comments

=v= At the risk of repeating myself (seeing as how I already mentioned this in a comment a few minutes ago in the linked blog entry), I am greatly encouraged that a relatively new bookstore called The Green Arcade appears to be thriving in San Francisco. I give it a thumbs up and, at the risk of violating one of Mark Zuckerberg's many trademarks, juxtapose the work "like" with that thumbs up.
