Wheel of Change

A couple of weeks ago, I saw a nasty gash on my front tire, so I changed it.

This morning, I found my rear tire was flat — it must have had a slow leak. So I patched it, pumped it up, got breakfast… and when I came back, it was flat again. There had been more than one (or my patch was bad, but I doubt that.) So I had to take it off again, and this time I just changed the tube.

This afternoon, I picked up a pushpin in my front tire, and it, of course, flattened.

I hereby announce to the universe that I’m quite ready to go the next several months without fixing my tubes and tires.

Kevlar beaded tyres. I've been running a set of Specialized Nimbus Ex (26" x 1.5") for a year now, and I've not had any punctures in that time. I live in a moderately rough area and ride across broken glass about three or four times a week. All this kevlar beading stuff isn't just marketing snake oil, it really does work. Assuming your 'bent doesn't have really unusual wheel sizes, you should be able to find something from one of the major manufacturers.
